Zombieland Rule 8 Applied Practically

“Zombieland Rule #8: Get a Kick-Ass Partner

How about FOUR kick-ass partners - on Spin bikes?

Four kick-ass partners = four women from four different worlds.

Four opinions, four sets of experiences, four teaching styles, four different heights and weights.

Four countries. Four languages. Four personalities.

We are nurses, writers, personal trainers and contractors. We have 13 children between us.

What joins us together? Passion. For Spinning, people, fitness and laughter.

Five years ago, none of us were teaching Spinning. None of us knew each other. None of us realized we would be here - changing lives class after class. A stroke of luck brought us together; passion keeps us working.

No matter where we are in our personal lives, when we ride we ARE a team. We sweat as one, breathe in sync and switch leadership back and forth smoothly and effortlessly. There is no drama here in our Happy Spinworld. No ego problems, no infighting, no showing off. We support each other, watch each others’ backs, and applaud each others’ differences.

We love our student/friend hybrids (like Alicia Hansen - who rode with us three hours today at the 2010 SpinningNation in Murrieta). Our students are why we teach - our fellow instructors are how we continue to grow.

Four kick-ass partners. Rule #8 foursquared.

Yeah, Spinning does that!

Tired & happy. (l to r) Aidalyn Myers, Alana Clarke, Teri McQuaid, Helen M. Ryan
