Spinning has really done great things for me. I have lost weight, toned up and cheered up. I find that while the first 10-15 minutes are a bit hard on me, after taht I get a huge surge of adrenaline that lifts my spirits and energy for the next day or two. I have also made more athletic friends which has helped me to continue my exercise routine.
I got into spinning after a very major knee surgery a few years ago - and all I could do was ride a “bike” per the doctor. My boyfriend at the time - a spinning instructor - brought me a spin bike to use at home and coached me through 2 months of riding. Starting from 5 mins a day up to an hour a day in two months. By this time I saw the AMAZING effects spinning had on my body and I became addicted to it. Its one of the most fun and precise ways to get yourself in shape ALL OVER YOUR BODY in one workout. It works almost every muscle group for me and keeps my whole body toned up. A year later I became a certified spinning instructor to prove to myself - and to my boyfriend (happily)- just how far I had come and how much better I was now - dare I say bionic - from the right recovery process. I began teaching classes too on a substitute basis and fell in love with the oppty to share a good ride and good music with people and really get them motivated too. I love the annual conventions because we all come together and share a passion - yes it makes me feel like part of a really awesome big organization. Its not easy to spin 4 times a week but it is one of the best ways to stay in shape!!! I love it!!!!! And its something wonderful I can share with my man. A great hobby to have :)))
Hi
Spinning is the best, I usually bike 3 to 4 times a week (45- 50 min each sesion). I feel very wood when bicking, I forget my problems and relax from daily stress.
After a heart attack two years ago and having a metal stent placed into one of my Coronary Arteries, I needed a serious life style change. Food had become my addiction and source of happiness. Laziness took over my life and it took real effort to move about. Spinning gave me an adreneline rush that replaced my food addiction. I now have more energy, more drive and ambition, and feeling like I am close to eighteen again. The combination of a motivational instructor, great music, and the natural high has kept me coming back for more.
Spinning is amazing. For me, it is unlike any other cardio workout I have ever tried. I have motivation and it is never a boring routine. I am only 19 but I will continue this throughout my lifetime because the feeling i get after a class is almost euphoric. I feel so happy and stress-free(which is what I need in university) and I can’t tell enough people about spinning. It is amazing!!
